Everett Dowling, Board Member and Advisory Council Member

Everett Dowling has been active in real estate development business for over 25 years. He is president of Dowling Company, Inc. a Maui-based real estate development company. Dowling Company has projects in commercial, residential and land development. Included in the companyıs portfolio are schools for the State of Hawaii and Kamehameha Schools, affordable housing for the beneficiaries of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, luxury residences within Maui's resorts, new town developments in Upcountry Maui, and commercial buildings in Maui's business centers. The Dowling Company has created The Dowling Community Improvement Foundation dedicated to improving educational opportunities, the environment, youth sports programs, and native Hawaiian cultural programs.

In 1998, the Maui Chamber of Commerce named him its Entrepreneur of the Year. The American Fundraising Professionals named Dowling Company, Inc. its State of Hawaii 2001 Small Business of the Year. Also in 2001, the Maui Contractors Association named Dowling Company, Inc. its Developer of the Year. In 2006, Dowling Company won the Community Spirit Award in Pacific Business News' Business Leadership Hawaii awards.

He served on the Board of Trustees of Babson College from 1994-2008 and on the Board of Regents of the University of Hawaii from 1998-2003. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Resort Development Red Flight Council, the Maui Contractors Association, and the Japan-Hawaii Economic Council. He also serves on the Hawaiian Telecom Advisory Board and the Board of the Institute for International Urban Development.

He earned his B.A. Economics from Randolph Macon College and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College.

Mr. Dowling is a member of the Hawaii Meth Project Board.
