
Warren H. Haruki is president and chief executive officer of Grove Farm, the Kauai-based land development company. He is expanding the companyıs focus on developing sustainable communities on Kauai, while also focused on renewable energy initiatives and diversified agriculture.
He is a trustee for the Parker Ranch Foundation Trust on the Island of Hawaii. As trustee, he plays a key role in the diversification and asset appreciation of the Trust to increase income to fund distributions to Parker Ranchıs four beneficiaries.
Effective January 2009, Mr. Haruki was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. is a land holding and operating company dedicated to agriculture, resort operations, and the creation and management of holistic communities.
Mr. Haruki is a former president of GTE Hawaiian Tel and Verizon Hawaii. He retired from Verizon Hawaii in 2003, successfully concluding a 26-year career with Hawaiiıs largest telecommunications firm.
He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and serves on the boards of First Hawaiian Bank, Pacific Guardian Life Insurance Company, HPM Building Supply, GTA Teleguam, Hawaii Superferry, and Hawaii BioEnergy. He is also a trustee of the Blood Bank of Hawaii, is on the board of the Grand Slam Club (University of Hawaii baseball booster organization), and is a past chair of the University of Hawaii Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.
In 2002, Hawaii Business Magazine named Mr. Haruki one of Hawaiiıs ten most influential people in the State. In 2001, the Boy Scouts of Americaıs Aloha Council honored him with the Distinguished Citizen Award.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii.
